Breaking Barriers: A Collaborative Approach to Fair Chance Hiring

May 16, 2024

12:00pm-1:00pm

We welcome Kirsten Wiegman from InCheck and Eli Rivera from The Way Out as this month's featured WisHHRA webinapresenters.

This presentation aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of Fair Chance Hiring and its importance in offering opportunities to Justice Involved Job Seekers (JIJS). The collaborative efforts between InCheck – a background screening company – and The Way Out (TWO) – a fair chance employment platform – will be introduced, highlighting the shared mission to break the cycle of incarceration through technology, education, and fair-chance employment. The collaborative approach between InCheck and TWO will showcase how company education on best practices and background screening contribute to fair chance hiring. Real-world examples and case studies of organizations benefitting from this collaboration will be presented, demonstrating the practical impact of such initiatives. The subsequent sections outline the benefits of fair chance hiring and flexibility in the hiring process. We will conclude our presentation by addressing future trends and opportunities in fair chance hiring, encouraging Q&A.

Learning Objectives:
